  1. Favorite book of all time: Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
  2. Fashion Icon: Laura Bennett
  3. Jean Michel Basquiat, Cy Twombly, Mark Rothko, and Jackson Pollack are my favorite artists.
  4. Donna Karan opaque tights are my favorite tights of all time.
  5. Best money I ever spent: Lily; Travel; Grad school; Botox; Therapy with Igor; Revive eye cream.
  6. I would never say no to Paris.
  7. I gave my baby teeth to my ballet teacher instead of the tooth fairy, she collected them.
  8. My Starbucks order: Grande chai non-fat latte
  9. I would actually prefer Peet’s to Starbucks.
  10. What I would take with me if there was a fire:   iPhone, Lily’s “Mr. Monkey” and my Roger Vivier shoes.
  11. How I want to die: Very old and very happy. In a gorgeous hotel suite. In my sleep.
  12. My last meal should include: chocolate, champagne, foie gras, escargot, pasta, cheese and bread.
  13. I am superstitious about the #13 and I am ashamed to admit that I am.
  14. My core wardrobe that I am working on creating is an obsession I have had since I was 16. I still don’t have the perfect core wardrobe.
  15. I can’t ride a bike.
  16. My favorite birds are Blue Jays. I call all Blue Jays “Pete” and “Charlie”.
  17. My Christmas tree is themed. I collect Fleur-de-Lis ornaments and Westie ornaments. The theme? Fleur-de-Lily.
  18. Movies I have watched so many times that I probably know all the words: French Kiss and Philadelphia Story.
  19. I have a gift for doing voices. I can, if given proper incentive, do the voice of Kate-Monster from the musical Avenue Q.
  20. Biggest regret: I didn’t go to Sarah Lawrence College.
  21. I am crazy, mad, in-love with: Lily. To a lesser, but still devoted, degree: Cary Grant, Post-Modern Architecture, Paris, James Hillman and Bill Clinton.
  22. I hate the words: hot cakes, a stick of chewing gum, belly and toe jam.
  23. My BIG dreams: Publish a book of memoirs; publish a story in the New Yorker; have an apartment in Paris and a house in Big Sur.
  24. Noir Epices by Frederic Malle is my signature scent.
  25. My chief fault is my ability to take the good and make it bad through rumination.
  26. My hair and my smile are most often what I get compliments on.
  27. I don’t read magazines unless I am flying. When I fly I read Vanity Fair, The New Yorker and Harpers.
  28. I have an unimpressive collection of charm bracelets.
  29. The word “wow” is one that I say too much and I am trying to break myself of it.
  30. The Smiths and Morrissey are the sound track to my life.
  31. I hate pancakes but I love crepes and waffles(the non-Belgian variety).
  32. What I wished I learned earlier: That following your bliss doesn’t mean things are going to be easy for you. Bliss and hard work are not mutually exclusive.
  33. I can’t drive a stick shift.
  34. Authenticity is my favorite virtue.
  35. Ice Cubes and Trident Blue are my favorite kind of chewing gum, but I try not to chew gum as I don’t like how it looks.
  36. When I am very stressed I tend to double and triple check that I have locked my car door.
  37. My idea of misery: To be without Lily.
  38. Running is my meditation. Therapy is my spiritual practice.
  39. Trait I hate: Disloyalty.
  40. I had a crush on Haas Cartwright from Bonanza. I HATED Little Joe. I still hold a place in my heart for Haas. Joe will never get any room in my heart.
  41. I also have the ubiquitous crush on Mr. Darcy.
  42. I love making lists.
  43. The thing I am coveting at the moment above all other things: A Prada bag in a gorgeous chestnut colour.
  44. I do Botox. I sometimes have filler injected into my nasolabial folds. I have glycolic peels. I use Retin-A. I am vain and I am afraid of face lifts so I do everything I can to avoid needing one.
  45. My graduate thesis was “The Genesis of Shame: The Fig Leaf of Fashion and its Place in Psychotherapy”.
  46. I never ask for autographs. I tend to think they are dumb. That said, I did ask Richard Quest for his autograph. I did not ask Eddie Izzard for his even though I LOVE Eddie( especially when he is in drag).
