I love the way you develop this idea, weaving in and out of comfort and discomfort.

Last weekend, I had a Blog Camp at my house in England. (I'm a Texan married to a Brit living in the English countryside.) Out of the six of us, there was only one person who lived in the country of her birth! We talked quite a bit about this phenomena: at home in two places; but at home in neither. Funnily enough, the two Americans -- who both thought that their American-ness had worn down quite a bit -- are, apparently, deluding themselves. At least you can recognize the bits of you which are French!
